Christopher C. Lancaster is the President and Founder of Lancaster Law Firm, P.A. Mr. Lancaster has dedicated his practice to fighting for people who have been injured in accidents or abuse. Prior to opening Lancaster Law Firm, P.A., Mr. Lancaster spent seven years working for law firms that handle civil and criminal cases. Mr. Lancaster worked for over 2 years as an associate at a Sarasota personal injury law firm, handling a wide variety of complex
personal injury cases. He also has prior experience working as an insurance defense attorney, specializing in litigation of nursing home actions, professional liability, and general liability cases. Working for the insurance companies has given Mr. Lancaster a valuable insight and perspective when representing plaintiff's in personal injury cases, which often result in better settlements for his clients.
Additionally, Mr. Lancaster has a signficiant amount of jury trial experience in both civil and criminal cases. Mr. Lancaster began his legal career at the Public Defender’s Office for the 6th Judicial Circuit, in Clearwater, Florida. For 3 ½ years, Mr. Lancaster served as an Assistant Public Defender in the Felony and Misdemeanor Divisions, trying a total of 33 jury trials. He has first-chair trial experience in a wide variety of criminal cases, ranging from Attempted Murder to D.U.I. offenses. In 2010, Mr. Lancaster had the most first-chair jury trials in his office. More recently, Mr. Lancaster has successfully represented vicitms of auto accidents and serious personal injuries in civil jury trials throughout the Tampa Bay Area. As an attorney that actually goes to trial, rather than just talking about it, this also makes a big difference when negotiating with insurance companies and receiving better outcomes for his clients.
Mr. Lancaster is a 2009 Honors Graduate "With Distinction" of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, with a concentration in Litigation. Mr. Lancaster finished in the top of his class in Advanced Legal Writing and Florida Comparative Procedure, receiving Book Awards for those courses. He also completed law school with a 14-week externship at the Clearwater Public Defender’s office.
Mr. Lancaster is the oldest son of prominent St. Petersburg, Florida Attorney and Mediator Bob Lancaster, who has been an incredible father and mentor for Chris throughout his legal career.
In 2006, Chris graduated from Christendom College, located in Front Royal, Virginia. During college, Chris played 4 years of College Basketball and was team captain his senior season. Chris met his wife Katie Lancaster while at college. They have been married since 2008 and currently live in St. Petersburg, FL with their beautiful daughter Ciara and dog "Rudy."
